Ch-ch-ch-changes

Hello internet! There has been mucho going on in the Geyerses world for the past few months…so here are some brief updates…with photos, of course!

This guy…oh my. He is getting so big! He is 9.5 months (already?!) and doing lots of fun things. He loves to eat big people food (purees are for the birds!), he is a walking maniac and luuuurves to cruise around the house and bang on all things technology related. He does the most hilarious (and frighteningly uncoordinated) dancing, he says mama…but not at anything in particular, yet. He went through an awful biting while nursing stage (6 teeth, I might add!), that included a refusal to nurse for 2 days but we are now back to our normal routine, thank goodness! He still isn’t keen on the bottle while I’m at work…but he is getting better lately and will take 3-4 ozs while I’m away. He thinks his big brother is the bees knees and has started copying him in his shinangins…namely throwing himself onto the bed while shrieking with delight (we usually spend a good hour a day jumping on the big bed and watching Coen as he practice his “fighting bad guy” moves). He keeps us pretty sleep deprived (still! I know!) and we have actually moved Blake into Coen’s room and moved Coen back into our room (temporarily) since he sleeps so much better on his own. I would say that if someone randomly stopped by our house at any given point in the night, there would be a high likelihood of at least one (or two or three or four!) of us being awake. This does not make Mommy happy. But this too shall pass, right? (RIGHT?!) Ahhhhh.

Coen! The big boy!! You’d be hard pressed to find any baby chub left on this one. He is a BOY now. He loves to cook (“pizza?! No, let’s make something complicated!”), play chess with Grandpa, and push all the parenting buttons that you could even dream of having. He is so freaking smart, it seriously blows my mind. My favorite phrase of his is “I love you more than the Sun loves the stars”…he is a lover that boy.

Dave and I spent the afternoon with this amazing family (a threesome, that is awaiting a new addition in just a few weeks! Yay!) taking photos and videos. It was so much fun to work together on this project…we are contemplating doing some more projects together. Here are a few of my fav stills from the session. Check the vid HERE.

I’m still having fun crafting…although with the little sleep that I am getting I have been working on more “by hand” projects…just easier than lugging out and setting up the sewing machine.

And there you have it…the short (very short) version.

Oh Kirsten, the images of the boys are adorable!!! They are getting so big and you are right, Coen is a little boy now. The quilts are beautiful and how exciting about your photo shoot. Keep up the great work!

So stinkin’ cute. Can’t believe how big that baby is!

My babies kept me sleep deprived till they were well over one year’s old. We had three children in a row, in short succession so I was tired for years. (oh I love having not-so-little children). How women like yourself manage to go to a job with this lack of sleep amazes me.

    Your handiwork is beautiful Kirsten.

Good lord woman! You are so inspirational, and talented in every way. Love the photos of the boys. That little one will sleep at some point, I mean he has to right? oxoxox.

Love it!! You and Dave did a great collaboration. The very end of the video is hilarious! Now that we’ve both had that experience…I’m dying to talk shop with you more than ever. Hang in there!
